Missions

Rom. 10:14-15 – How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”

We believe in the Great Commission. Our goal is to be more missions-hearted. We currently give about 15% of our budget to missions support. Throughout the year, we have missionaries come to present their ministry. We support five ministries involved in the work of missions/church-planting and getting the gospel around the world.

  1. Special Church-Planting ProjectRestricted country location. We support national pastors in a country where the name of Christ is not encouraged. Pastors and their families endure daily persecution. We pray for persecuted countries of the world every week. The link will direct you to The Voice of the Martyrs where you can read about the lives of our family in Christ who suffer more than we may ever know.
  2. Lighthouse Baptist Press – Rapid City, South Dakota. This local church ministry is headed up by Bro. Mike Petrocco, (USAF Retired). From their website, “We never charge for the Word of God to be produced or assembled!  We print John and Roman booklets for missionaries and church planters at no cost to the missionary or church planter.”
  3. Iglesia Bautista Reformed de Punta Arenas – After a missions trip to Patagonia, Chile in Oct-Nov 2024, Pastor Mark was able to identify the need of missions support for two churches. The city of Punta Arenas is the gateway to Antarctica and has a population of about 125,000. To the best of our knowledge, this new church-plant is the only Biblically solid, evangelical church located in “el fin del mondo” (the end of the world).
  4. Iglesia Bautista Sublime Gracia – This church is located in Valdivia, Chile and is only about three years old. We provide missions support in order to enable Pastor Pablo Peralta to minister full-time to his congregation and see them grow to the glory of God. Valdivia is the site of the largest recorded earthquake in 1960. It has a population of about 127,000 with only two evangelical churches.
  5. Village Ministries – From their website, “VMI is a non-denominational Christian Ministry designed to take both the Gospel and teaching of God’s Word to the people of the world. The target areas are villages and remote cities that ordinarily would not be exposed to missionary activity or Bible teaching. Our American and Indigenous partners serve on four continents. Most of the countries served face increasing persecution, so for their safety they are not listed on our website.”
