Missions

Rom. 10:14-15 – How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”

We believe in the Great Commission. Our goal is to be more missions-hearted. We currently give about 10-12% of our budget to missions support. Throughout the year, we have missionaries come to present their ministry. We support four ministries involved in the work of missions/church-planting and getting the gospel around the world.

  1. Special Church-Planting ProjectRestricted country location. We support national pastors where the name of Christ is not encouraged and where pastors and their families endure daily persecution. We pray for persecuted countries of the world every week. The link will direct you to The Voice of the Martyrs where you can read about the lives of our family in Christ who suffer more than we will probably ever know.
  2. Lighthouse Baptist Press – Rapid City, South Dakota. This local church ministry is headed up by Bro. Mike Petrocco, (USAF Retired). From their website, “We never charge for the Word of God to be produced or assembled!  We print John and Roman booklets for missionaries and church planters all at no cost to the missionary, church planter, or seed-line church.”
  3. The Gospel Project – Under the direction of Dr. Breck Merkle. From their website, “At the Glory Project we work with indigenous churches, leaders, and ministries to build the kingdom of God in Southeast Asia. At The Glory Project we seek to make disciples and reproduce the church of God in Southeast Asia.”
  4. Village Ministries – From their website, “VMI is a non-denominational Christian Ministry designed to take both the Gospel and teaching of God’s Word to the people of the world. The target areas are villages and remote cities that ordinarily would not be exposed to missionary activity or Bible teaching. Our American and Indigenous partners serve on four continents. Most of the countries served face increasing persecution, so for their safety they are not listed on our website.”
